Description
A framed set of 30 sepia-toned photographs, each one 5 X 8 inches, depicting scenes along the Esquimalt & Nanaimo Railway, the photographer's name, "Tho. S. Gore" handwritten on a label and adhered to the bottom right corner, the black-painted wood frame with gilt edging.
Narrative
The Esquimalt & Nanaimo Railway was completed in 1886 by a consortium lead by principal shareholder Hon. Robert Dunsmuir with Californians Leland Stanford, Charles Crocker, Collis P. Huntington.
