Description
One silver-plated fish fork with a thick, rounded and beaded handle engraved "Dolaura" in cursive script on the top side. The root and back of the fork is decorated with two incised lines forming a shield-like pattern. The neck is faceted and decorated with three incised frames with hatching at each end of the frame. The fourth faceted surface, which is at the back, bears the maker's marks for Carrington & Co.
History of Use
This set of fish knives and forks was used  by the James and Laura Dunsmuir family aboard their yacht, TSSY Dolaura from 1908 until 1920. It was then used at their house Hatley Park in Colwood, B.C. until 1939. The set was purchased from a non-profit organization's thrift shop in Sechelt, BC in 2024.
