A sepia-toned photograph depicting a procession of marchers on a city street, consisting of uniformed bandsmen, firemen and others, throngs of bystanders viewing the procession from both sides of the street, wooden buildings and power poles dominating the skyline.
Narrative
This photograph was taken moments after Hon. Robert Dunsmuir rode the first Esquimalt and Nanaimo Railway passenger train into downtown Victoria on March 29, 1888.
