A majolica art nouveau two handled vase, the base in light green foliate relief turning light orange toward the vase's dark greenish-blue centre, after which the foliation turns light blue and terminates in light pink flowers at the vase's opening, the two green handles simulating stylized branches of the flowering plant. Although this vase was never owned by a member of the Dunsmuir family, many pieces of majolica were sold at the 1909 Craigdarroch auction.History of Use
The history of use of this vase is not known. It was acquired by The Castle Society - probably by purchase - in about 1980.Date
