One of ten in an encyclopedia set, the covers of cream-coloured Moroccan leather, the title and volume number on the spine in gilded lettering.
Narrative

This set of encyclopedias was sold as lot #467 from the "Smoke-Room" at the Dunsmuir family's Hatley Park auction on June 3, 1939. The donor's father made the purchase and kept the auction catalogue which was also donated to Craigdarroch as part of this accession.

History of Use
This set was used by the James and Laura Dunsmuir family at Burleith and Hatley Park. They were acquired by The Castle Society, together with the auction catalogue (984.064.002), from the son of the man who bought them at the sale.
