Hall & Lowe

Biography
Hall and Lowe was owned by J.D.Hall and Skene Lowe[1]. Located in Victoria on Government street, Manitoba on Main street and in Vancouver on Cordova Street[2]. The company was active from 1882-1892[3].The company began in Winnipeg in 1882 and in 1887 they moved to 461 Main Street.[4] Took a variety of styles of photos like city scenes, landscapes and portraits.[5] The Victoria Branch was opened in 1885.[6]  In 1887 Hall opened the Vancouver Branch and in 1892 Hall left Hall & Lowe.[7] Skene Lowe lived from 1856-1920,[8] and Hall lived from 1854-1936[9].
