Description
One sepia-toned photograph of a masonry open-walled garden building incorporating at least eleven columns and a sheet-metal roof. The principle structure is made of randomly-cut stone and sits on a corner of a partially visible structure beneath it. The garden building has a masonry balustrade leading to and behind it.
Narrative
This is the loggia in the Italian Garden at Hatley Park.
History of Use
This photograph was in the possession of its photographer, Ernest Crocker, until shortly before his death in 1968. It was given by him to his friend who later gave it to the donor's late husband. It has been on Vancouver Island since its creation.
