Description

One sepia-toned photograph of the City of Victoria from a distance of about 10 kilometers. The ocean forms about 45% of the image and the sky another 45% of it. The photographic paper is uniformly granular.

Narrative

This photograph of the City of Victoria was taken through a telescope from Albert Head in Metchosin, BC. Craigdarroch can be clearly seen on the horizon of the land form.

History of Use

This photograph was in the possession of its photographer, Ernest Crocker, until shortly before his death in 1968. It was given by him to his friend who later gave it to the donor's late husband. It has been on Vancouver Island since its creation.
