Description
A sepia-toned photograph of a three-story timber and plaster house, an open central square tower with a metal finial at its top. A gravel drive appears at the lower left corner and a lawn with three carpet beds, each with a yucca plant, is shown in the centre foreground.
Narrative
This photograph depicts Mt. Adelaide the home of Mary Jean Dunsmuir and Henry Croft. It sat above West Bay, an area of Esquimalt on Victoria's Inner Harbour. 
History of Use
This photograph was in the possession of its photographer, Ernest Crocker, until shortly before his death in 1968. It was given by him to his friend who later gave it to the donor's late husband. It has been on Vancouver Island since its creation.
