A cream-coloured carriage pass bearing the words "Coronation of Their Majesties King Edward VII. And Queen Alexandra August 9, 1902." in upper-case and lower-case font together with other words describing the prescribed entrance location at Westminster Abbey, "CARRIAGE No. 866" appears on the main ticket and also on a small perforated stub which has not been separated from the larger pass.Narrative
This carriage pass allowed its holder to gain access to the area around London's Westminster Abbey on August 9, 1902. It was issued to Lieutenant Berkeley Holme-Sumner to attend the Coronation of Their Majesties King Edward VII and Queen Alexandra which took place at the Abbey on August 9, 1902.

This pass was used by Berkeley Holme-Sumner, R.N. and Mrs. Margaret Joan Harvey (Mrs. Berkeley Holme-Sumner) until it was inherited and used by their daughter Georgiana Holme-Sumner (Mrs. Robert Dunlop Stewart) in England, and later, in Scotland by her son, who donated it to The Castle Society in 2022.Date
