Description
One sepia-toned photograph of Margaret Joan Harvey (AKA Mrs. Berkeley Holme-Sumner and “Madge”) in an ankle-length dress walking outside on grass and holding two papers, a bunch of lilies, and a handbag. She is wearing a hat and simple necklace. To her left and behind, walking on a stone pathway, is her daughter Joan Holme-Sumner. At the right of the image in a morning suit and top hat is her husband Berkeley Holme-Sumner. Hand-written on the verso in pencil is "1935 – Wedding at Plaxtol, Kent"

This photograph of Margaret Joan Harvey, her husband Berkeley Holme-Sumner, and their daughter Joan was taken July 4, 1935, on the day of Mr. and Mrs. Holme-Sumner's daughter Georgiana Holme-Sumner’s wedding to Robert Dunlop Stewart.
History of Use
The donor of this photograph is a great great grandson of Robert and Joan Olive Dunsmuir. This photograph was used by his family in England and Scotland before being donated to The Castle Society in 2022.
