Description

One un-framed art print, black ink on white paper, the image depicting the west façade of Craigdarroch Castle. The artist’s printed signature appears at the lower right corner. Below it and hand-written in pencil is: “Craigdarroch Castle, 1890”.

Narrative

This art print was part of an un-numbered press-run produced in the early 1980s for sale in Victoria, B.C. souvenir shops, including in The Castle Society’s front desk before the Society had a dedicated museum store.

History of Use

This print was purchased by Joe Phillipson on November 5, 1982 for $10.00 plus sales tax. The name of the vendor is not known. It was offered for donation to The Castle Society by his daughter Joan Young on February 17, 2022.
