Description
A very long, black and white school photograph of the student body of Stowe School from 1928. The photograph consists of a large number of boys in uniform lined up in five rows in front of a stone building. Below the image is printed "Stowe June 1928" with a crest.
Narrative
Stowe School is a public school in Stowe, Buckinghamshire, England. Robin James Dunsmuir (1912-1990) is the 36th boy from right in the top row. Renowned British actor David Niven is in the third row from the ground, 10th from left. Robin Dunsmuir told the donor that David Niven was in his class in 1929. This photograph is useful in presenting the Dunsmuir family story and was collected for this reason.

In the enlarged photographic detail incorporating the building, Robin James Dunsmuir is in the top row, 7th from left.

In the enlarged photographic detail consisting only of young men with no visible building, David Niven is in the 3rd row from bottom, 5th man from left. He would later become a successful screen actor.
