A sepia-toned photograph of the head and torso a young woman (Henrietta Maud Dunsmuir), her body facing slightly to the right of the photographer, her dark hair combed up and pinned in curls on the top of her head, feathers on her head and chest, her costume a light-coloured top with low scoop neckline and short puffed sleeves, bows on each shoulder her neck adorned with a single strand of pearls, the photographer's studio name and address printed across the bottom.
