Description
A sepia-toned photograph of a man and woman son on water-skis, a sloping hillside in the distance behind them. On the back of the photograph there are grey lines which appear similar to those used on a postcard. "P 47" is written on the back as well in the top left corner in pencil.
Narrative
At left is James Selden Humphreys (born 1918) and at right, his sister Joan Muriel Humphreys (born 1919), both of them children of Kathleen Euphemia Dunsmuir (1891-1941) and Arthur Selden Humphreys (1880-1966). The photograph is believed by their family members to have been taken in the south of France on the Mediterranean Ocean.
History of Use
This photograph was used by the Dunsmuir family on the British Columbia mainland before it returned to Vancouver Island. It was donated to The Castle Society by a grandson of Kathleen Euphemia Dunsmuir in 2007.
