Description
One sepia-toned photograph of Kathleen Euphemia Dunsmuir, aged 40, standing walking outside in the snow, an angled three-story plaster and timber building to her left and behind her. She is wearing a toque, sweater, dark pants, gloves and boots. On the bottom of the photograph "Arrowhead- Jan 2 '32" is written in ink. On the back of the photo "30" is stamped in the top right corner and "J2" written in pencil. In the top left corner "2" is written in pen.
Narrative
Kathleen Euphemia Dunsmuir was a daughter of James and Laura Dunsmuir, and granddaughter to Robert and Joan Dunsmuir. The photograph was taken in front of the Lake Arrowhead Hotel and Spa in Lake Arrowhead, California.
History of Use
This photograph was used by the Dunsmuir family at Hatley Park. It was later used on the British Columbia mainland before it returned to Vancouver Island. It was donated to The Castle Society by a grandson of Kathleen Euphemia Dunsmuir in 2007.
