Description
One photograph of a woman (Kathleen Euphemia Dunsmuir) standing beside a wicker chair on a covered boat deck wearing a sparkly floor length hooded costume. A body of water and a barren hillside form the background. On the back of the photograph in the top left corner "P-32" is written and in the bottom left corner " KATHLEEN DUNSMUIR" is written in pencil.
Narrative
Kathleen Dunsmuir is the granddaughter of Robert and Joan Dunsmuir. This photograph was probably taken during a family trip to Egypt in 1912. She was 21 years old when this photograph was taken.
History of Use
This photograph was used by the Dunsmuir family at Burleith, Government House, and at Hatley Park. It was later used on the British Columbia mainland before it returned to Vancouver Island. It was donated to The Castle Society by a grandson of Kathleen Euphemia Dunsmuir in 2007.
