Description
One sepia-toned photograph of girl (Kathleen Euphemia Dunsmuir) about two years of age dressed in a light-coloured knee-length dress with short puffed sleeves and a large, plumed, white brimmed hat. On the back of the photograph on the top center "28" and "P-28" is written in pencil. In the center of the back of the photograph " GRANDMOTHER" is written in pencil.
Narrative
Kathleen Euphemia Dunsmuir was a daughter of James and Laura Dunsmuir, and grandaughter to Robert and Joan Dunsmuir.
History of Use
This photograph was used by the Dunsmuir family at Burleith, Government House, and at Hatley Park. It was later used on the British Columbia mainland before it returned to Vancouver Island. It was donated to The Castle Society by a grandson of Kathleen Euphemia Dunsmuir in 2007.
