Description
A black and white photograph of Laura Dunsmuir in an orchard with a calf. She is wearing a long dress and coat and a wide brimmed hat. There is a fence in the background. On the back on the top left corner of the photograph in pencil, "16" is written as well as on the top right corner "P-16" is written and "GREATGRANDMOTHER" in the centre.
Narrative
The Friends of Hatley Park Society believe this photo was taken during the construction of the wall at Hatley Park around 1910. Craigdarroch's Curator believes that it was taken around 1911 when the Dunsmuirs visited their former residence at Departure Bay near Nanaimo, B.C.

Donated by a descendant of James and Laura Dunsmuir.
