A black hard-cover record book with red spine and corners, with lined paper inside. Inside are the names and offices held by Castle Society members and a list of expenditures recorded by hand.

Narrative

 This is the first register of members of the Society for the Preservation and Maintenance of Craigdarroch Castle. It records the registration of the Society on October 30, 1959. Officers and members from 1960 to and including 1963 are listed. This is one of The Castle Society’s earliest records. It documents the names of the Society’s first members and supporters – people who committed their time and financial resources to ensuring that Craigdarroch survived for future generations. 

History of Use

This book was used by Craigdarroch volunteers, staff, members and board memebers and has been kept at Craigdarroch since it was new.
