A silver-plated octagonal trophy cup with two angular handles that reach above the top of the cup. The interior of the cup is gold-plated. Thick stem and circular base. Engraved on the front is: "Montreaux Golf Club Emery Cup First Prize Miss L Audain."Narrative
This circa 1929 Continental trophy cup was won by Laura Francis Audain (1909-1960) at the Montreax Golf Club (Switzerland). She was a granddaughter of Hon. James and Laura Dunsmuir and a great granddaughter of Joan Dunsmuir of Craigdarroch. Its connection to the Dunsmuir family makes it a significant addition to the collection that aids in presenting the Dunsmuir story.History of Use
This trophy cup was first owned by Laura Francis Audain (1909-1960) (later named Mrs. Ivo Sinclair Henderson). Its history of use is not known, but it was donated to Craigdarroch Castle by her brother’s son.Date
