A 1923 black and white photograph of a smiling Edna Wallace Hopper in a bathtub, her bare legs and hands out of the bathtub.
Narrative
Edna Wallace Hopper (1874-December 11th, 1959) was the daughter of Josephine Wallace Dunsmuir (1850-1901) and the step-daughter of Alexander Dunsmuir (1853-1900) second son of Robert and Joan Dunsmuir. She was a stage actor and purveyor of her own line of beauty products until 1938, when she became a successfull Wall Street stock trader. 

Edna's line of beauty products included various face creams and powders. She also published articles and books. Part of her marketing routine included travelling to major centres in North America where she appeared on theatre stages and spoke to the audience from a bathtub. She once appeared in this manner at the Royal Theatre in Victoria, B.C.
