Description
A colour photograph of the facade of a large red brick two-story house (Ashnola), cream-coloured ashlar stones laid in along the corners of the walls and around window openings, the pitched roof grey in colour, one small gable at centre flanked by two larger ones, on the other side of the roof and to the right is the topmost portion of a tower-top slightly off-centre, clad in greyish metal, on the top of it a weathervane.
Narrative
The donor was employed as a nurse at the Gorge Road Hospital and took this photograph just before the demolition of Ashnola in 1970.
History of Use
The donor took this photograph in 1970 and kept it in her Victoria, B.C. residence until donating it to The Castle Society in 1988.
