Description
One stuffed great grey owl perched on a branch of birchwood.
Narrative
The donor of this specimen named it "Beth" in honour of his mother.
History of Use
This Great Grey Owl was shot by Lorne Sherrat of Edmonton, Alberta in the early 1960's. He gave it to the donor's mother, Elizabeth Gwendolyn Davies in about 1965. She displayed it at her residence, 7119 87th Street Edmonton, AB until 1971 when it was displayed in her residence at 7172 Brentwood Drive, Brentwood Bay, BC (then known as Brenta Lodge). In 1973, the owl was  moved to 3384 Connorton Lane, Victoria, BC. It was given to the donor (her son) in about 1991 and he used it at 1327 Coventry Avenue until he donated it to the Castle in 2007.
