Description
canvas on all sides including the top flap; inside heavy card stock glued to the sides and bottom of the canvas; the card had green felt glued to it; the case opens from the top; the dark brown stained leather handle stitched on each end to the flap; two dark brown stained straps;1.5cm width; each wraps around the body of the case and is held on by leather taps on the sides and stitched by the handle; each strap has four holes punched in the end so that it can be buckled through the black metal square shaped buckle; leather has been stitched around the edges of the flap and side edges of the case; on the bottom of the case in each corner are four round; metal feet.
History of Use
The equipment belonged to the donor's great uncle on his mother's side. He was born in the 1870's in Sussex, England and died in 1944 or 1945.
