The maker of this attractive table is not known. It has been suggested that it might have been made by John S. Bradstreet & Co. of Minneapolis, Minnesota.History of Use
This table was purchased by The Castle Society from a Vancouver, B.C. antique dealer in 1997. The table had been consigned, together with other objects, from a member of the Pemberton family. The table was used by Sophie Beanlands (nee Pemberton) in her home and is seen sitting beside it in a surviving family photograph (see this record).
It was a wedding gift to her and her husband, Reverend Arthur Beanlands, from Mrs. Gavin Burns and Mrs. Pearce on September 11, 1905.1
