Description
A profusely carved wooden table with pond lily and/or lotus leaf representations, a lower shelf with two lily pads carved into its top.
Narrative
The maker of this attractive table is not known. It has been suggested that it might have been made by John S. Bradstreet & Co. of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
History of Use
This table was purchased by The Castle Society from a Vancouver, B.C. antique dealer in 1997. The table had been consigned, together with other objects, from a member of the Pemberton family.  The table was used by Sophie Beanlands (nee Pemberton) in her home and is seen sitting beside it in a surviving family photograph (see this record).  

It was a wedding gift to her and her husband, Reverend Arthur Beanlands, from Mrs. Gavin Burns and Mrs. Pearce on September 11, 1905.1
