Narrative

On September 25, 1919 HRH The Prince of Wales opened Craigdarroch Military Hospital.  Upon the death of his father, HM King George V in 1936, be became HM King Edward VIII. Later in 1936, he abdicated the throne in order to marry the divorced American, Mrs. Wallace Simpson.
