A gilt framed (a) photograph (b) of Henrietta Maud Dunsmuir (1872-1950) at about age 18, the image from mid-waist up, the right side of her face in profile, her wavy hair tied loosely back, her shoulders bare, her blouse or dress sequinned and short-sleeved with puffed fabric extensions, her neck and chest supporting a collarette with integral pendant made from small pearls.Narrative
This photograph was taken in a professional's studio, possibly while Maud was travelling with her mother and sisters in 1889-1890 when they visited eastern North America, the United Kingdom and the European Continent.
It was collected to aid in the presentation of Craigdarroch's Dunsmuir-period interiors.
