Description
A black lacquered upright piano.
History of Use
This piano was made in Victoria in 1882 for Mrs. Dennis (Martha) Harris, youngest of the five daughters of Governor Sir James and Lady Douglas.1

It was probably made for Mrs. Harris in 1888 or 1889 because these are the years that the maker, Goodwin & Jordan were in business. The cast iron frame was made by the Albion Iron Works of Victoria.
