Description
One of four matching brass electric wall sconces in Craigdarroch's primary collection. The main body of the fixture is shield-shaped. An acanthus leaf and sunflower brass casting rises from its top. Two arms exit from a brass acanthus-leaf clump in the middle of the shield. They swoop down and then up, culminating in faux candles fitted with standard screw-type electric lamp bases.
History of Use
This is one of four matching sconces and a pair of matching lanterns and  purchased from a Vancouver, B.C. antique store on April 24, 1970 by Society President James K. Nesbitt. He stated that they had been used by James and Laura Dunsmuir at Hatley Park.
