Narrative

This circa 1890 photograph depicts the Arbutus Bridge trestle of the Esquimalt & Nanaimo Railway. The camera appears to have been placed in about the same position as the camera used in BCA HP65794, an RBCM image identified as the E & N’s Arbutus Bridge trestle. The Castle Society owns a different photograph of the Arbutus trestle as part of a larger framed collage (983.948), but it was not taken from this angle.
