This rare image of the Nanaimo Bastion is a fine addition to the Primary Collection because it is of high-quality, and one of the first two images of the Bastion in the collection. That it depicts the Nanaimo area where the Dunsmuirs lived at the start of their rise to social and financial prominence adds to its importance to The Castle Society.History of Use
