Description
One terrazzo columnar pedestal with a painted wooden base. The column is man-made using fused pieces of aggregate, including black, gray, and white marble, which present a mottled dark gray appearance.
Narrative
It is not known whether this pedestal is contemporaneous with the bust that it supports, but it was acquired by The Castle Society in a set comprised of a marble bust and pedestal.
History of Use
This pedestal and the bust that it supports were purchased by James K. Nesbitt, President of The Castle Society at a Victoria, B.C antique shop on April 14, 1980. Its history of use before 1980 is not yet known.
