Description
A colour photograph of a man (James Guy Payne Audain - 1903-1970) and a woman (Lady Audley, nee June Chaplin - 1899-1977) standing on the south parking lot of Craigdarroch castle. The man is dressed in a brown suit with a light brown vest. The woman is wearing sunglasses with a scarf over her hair and a blue dress. She is holding a matching jacket and a white handbag. The south roofline of Craigdarroch Castle is visible at the top of the photograph. An American car is visible in the background by the kitchen entrance. There is a white border around photograph.
Narrative
This is a colour photograph of James Audain and Lady June Audley (nee Joan Isabel aka “June” Chaplin) standing on the south parking lot of Craigdarroch Castle in the spring or summer of 1967. On the verso written in pen is: “Lady June Audley eldest living granddaughter Robert Dunsmuir – James Audain eldest grandson of James Dunsmuir”. 
History of Use
Unknown. The photograph was found on-site at Craigdarroch and was probably donated by an early Board member of The Castle Society - possibly James G.P. Audain.
