History of Use
This photograph was used by John William Bryden at his Royston B.C. beach house until 1953 and later his daughter until being donated to Craigdarroch in 2014. For several years in the late 20th Century, this photograph was stored in the basement of the Gartley Road, Royston B.C. home of John William Bryden's sister, Lucy Lenore Bryden (aka Mrs. John Ryland). The basement flooded, and this Bryden family photograph, and many others, were damaged and/or destroyed.

John William Bryden was the uncle of the Macdonald sisters. His sister Joan Olive Bryden was their mother.
