One silver-plated tray with floral designs around the scalloped edges and a handle at each end. Monogramed with the letter 'B' surrounded with floral and acanthus leaf designs.History of Use
This tray was given to the donor by her father's mother, Mrs. John William Bryden (nee Ellen Gertrude Tarbell). Miss Tarbell and John William Bryden, son of John Cowper Bryden and Elizabeth Hamilton Bryden (nee Dunsmuir), were married on June 29, 1905. This tray might have been a wedding gift. The July 5, 1905 issue of the Cumberland News lists some of the couple's wedding gifts, including a silver tea service given by Mr. and Mrs. J. Dunsmuir of Victoria.Date
