Description

One of a pair of circa 1890 nickel-plated brass water service pipes with turned finials on the tops of reservoir tubes.

Narrative

These water service pipes have extra tubes incorporated into their design which prevent so-called "water-hammer" sound resulting from a sudden stop in water flow.

Unknown. Purchased from a dealer by The Castle Society in 2010.
