Description

One porcelain thimble, the exterior front hand painted with a spray of purple flowers with yellow and red centres. On reverse is a thin stem with narrow leaves. Inside the thimble is purple maker's mark for Royal Worcester indicating 1903 manufacture. There is no signature. The thimble top is almost flat with knurling. There are gold bands at the top and bottom the rims.

History of Use

Unknown. The donor was a collector of needlework items and bequeathed this to Craigdarroch as part of a large gift of sewing tools.
