Description
A late 19th Century Chinese export glass and silver inkstand, the glass base with round silver legs in bamboo motif, their tops with branch extensions to hold pens, the green glass ink jar set into a pierced silver holder of bamboo foliate pattern.
Narrative
This inkstand was purchased specifically for display in the Craigdarroch bedroom used to present the story of Effie Dunsmuir, also known as room 302. 
History of Use
This inkstand was purchased from a dealer in New York City shortly before its accession into Craigdarroch's collection. Its history of use before then is not known.
