Black and white photograph of two women sitting on wicker furniture and working on handicrafts. The older woman on the left is sitting next to a doorway, through which can be seen a white dresser with a large oval mirror. The woman on the right is sitting on a padded stool and appears to be working on a sewing task. The legs and feet of a third seated woman can be seen on the right hand side of the picture.
Narrative
The women depicted in this photograph are not yet identified. They are probably sitting on the porch at the Dunsmuir family's Cowichan River fishing lodge.History of Use
This photograph and the Dunsmuir family album that it comes from was passed down through Laura Dunsmuir's daughter Dola Frances Dunsmuir (Mrs. Henry Cavendish) to the family of her sister Kathleen Euphemia Dunsmuir (Mrs. Seldon Humphreys) from whom it was acquired by The Castle Society in 2012.Date
