These glass Easter eggs were a 1903 wedding gift to Mr. and Mrs. Smith of Victoria, B.C. In 2004, the eggs were donated to Craigdarroch Castle by a gentleman who bought them at a Victoria auction sale. The eggs were in a box with other items consigned by a Victoria family. The box also contained three handwritten cards reading: 1. "Mr. and Mrs. Doring, with this, wish Mrs. Smith a long and happy life. 1903"; 2. "With Compliments from Annie and Alf. Duke"; 3. "With Mr. and Mrs. Shaw's best wishes to the Bride and Groom". Date
