Description
One frosted and clear glass lampshade. It has a bowl-shaped body with an outward slanting 3.7cm H scalloped edge depicting twelve repeating bunches of seven daisy-like flowers radiating from a single plant. There is an open bottom 10 cm across with a .5cm H flange. The body is frosted glass with a clear etched design around the outside. This design is a repeating scene of a large swan swimming, with a bulrush and two flying swallows to one side and two small trees to the other.
Narrative
This lampshade is designed to be installed on a 3 1/2" fitter ring.
History of Use
This lampshade and its mate were purchased by The Castle Society at Victoria's Waterglass Studio Ltd. in 2004. Their history of use before then is not known.
