One unused colourized postcard. The postcard depicts a Chinese-Canadian gentleman dressed in a loose-fitting dark blue-coloured jacket, pants and vest with a white shirt, and wearing a black fedora. He is standing on the edge of a brown-coloured road beside a white-coloured sidewalk. He is facing the camera with his left hand holding a horizontal pole and tied to the ends are two very large wicker baskets filled with sacks of vegetables. The baskets rest on the ground. There are houses in the background fronted by narrow green grass banks. One of the houses has a picket fence. The title of image is in red machine-printed lettering across the bottom left side: "Chinese Vegetable Vendor, Victoria, B.C". The postcard series number is in black in the right bottom corner. On the verso centre top, "Post Card" in gray coloured upper case letters is printed. In the centre is the company logo depicting two earth globes with longitude and latitude lines with "Famous V & Sons Throughout the World" printed in upper-case machine printed lettering across the globes. The publisher's name and address appears in gray lettering along the vertical on the left side. At the right top corner is a square outline with "British Manufacture" machine-printed inside. "Address here" is printed to the left of the square.History of Use
