Description

One hard-cover guestbook with a brown suede leather spine. There is gold embossed lettering in Gothic font on the cover reading: "A Book of Hospitalities and a Record of Guests". Beneath this is a green woodblock image of a house. The pages are a very good quality beige coloured paper with green printed decorative borders. and sub-titles. The back cover is plain.

Narrative

The guestbook with important Dunsmuir and Jones family provenance was never written in by guests. It consists of printed and blank pages. 

History of Use

This book was given by Laura Miller Dunsmuir to Dr. and Mrs. Oswald Meredith Jones in 1910. Dr. Jones was a physician to Joan Olive Dunsmuir, and possibly also to the James Dunsmuir family. The book was given to Craigdarroch Castle in 1985 by a daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Jones.
