Description

Thin red book with incised gilt-lettering on leather cover. "The Nativity" written inside an open scroll overlaid in front of a lily. To the lower right reads the author's last name: "Milton." Thin gold line runs down the left side, about an inch from the spine. Coloured engravings throughout book.

Narrative

"The Nativity of Christ" was written by John Milton (1608-1674) in 1629. This edition was published by Marcus Ward & Co., 1888.
