A printed invitation addressed to "Mrs. Dunsmuir" to attend the Coronation of Edward Vll at Westminster Abbey on June 26, 1902, the printing brown on heavy beige paper, a wide border all around, the Royal Coat of Arm in each top corner, the Crown centred in the border at bottom.
Narrative
Hon. James Dunsmuir, in his capacity as Premier of British Columbia, attended the Coronation with and his wife Laura. The invitation was probably hers. It is remotely possible that it was intended for Mrs. Robert Dunsmuir.

The invitation is signed by the Earl Marshal, "Norfolk". This same signature appears in the TSSY Dolaura Guest Register (Craigdarroch Primary Collection 2012.7.5) and the person was Henry Fitzalan-Howard, 15th Duke of Norfolk KG GCVO VD PC (1847-1917).
History of Use
It is believed that this invitation was donated to Craigdarroch by the late James Guy Payne Audain, grandson of James and Laura Dunsmuir, and former Vice President and President of The Castle Society.
