Narrative
This very early photograph of Jimmy Audain (1903-1970) is the only example known to exist. His parents were Guy Mortimer Audain (1864-1940) and Sarah Byrd Dunsmuir (1878-1925).

The photograph was taken in about 1905, three  years before the death of Joan Olive Dunsmuir. She may have had a copy of this photograph of her great grandson.
History of Use
This photograph was used by Sarah Byrd Dunsmuir and Guy Mortimore Audain at their Victoria home, Ellora. It was later inherited by their son Jimmy Audain (the subject of this photograph) who used it in Victoria, and later, by his son, Michael James Audain, who used it in Vancouver and West Vancouver before donating it to Craigdarroch Castle in 2005.
