Description
One paper invoice with black printing: "Dr. to Str. Robt. Dunsmuir" dated May 5, 1900 with a carbon-copied list of goods to be shipped as freight including groceries and coal.
Narrative
The steamer "Robert Dunsmuir" was owned by R. Dunsmuir & Sons. It carried passengers, freight, and coal between Nanaimo and Vancouver. Because the clothing of its passengers was was routinely contaminated by coal dust, the vessel was not too affectionately named the "Dirty Bob".

This invoice is for goods shipped from Nanaimo to the Anglo-American Canning Company at Canoe Pass on the Fraser River near present day Ladner. That company was founded by Henry Bell-Irving.  His son Henry Pybus "Budge" Bell-Irving, OC DSO OBE OBC ED CD was the 23rd Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia from 1978 to 1983.

Unkown. Purchased by The Castle Society at public auction in 2013.
