Description
Sepia toned image of Craigdarroch Castle in about 1909. Shrubbery is overgrown in the foreground with vines climbing up the garden entrance. Awnings are on the library and sitting room windows. The text on the back of the postcard reads "Victoria golly. This is one of their good houses. Love to all George". Addressed to Mrs. Foster, Knowlton, P.Que.
Narrative
This photograph captures Craigdarroch in about 1909 perhaps a few months after the death of Mrs. Dunsmuir, but before the June 1909 auction of her house's contents. It shows advanced ivy growth on the building. 
History of Use
This photograph of Craigdarroch Castle was taken circa 1909 and published as a postcard in 1911 by Trio Ltd. of Victoria. It was mailed to Mrs. Foster of Quebec in October 1917.
