Biography

Dola Frances Dunsmuir (1903-1966), also known as Mrs. Henry Cavendish was the last child of James and Laura Dunsmuir. Her marriage to Royal Navy officer Henry Cavendish did not last long. She spent some of her life in Europe and in New York City. Very interested in theatre, Dola was a close companion of actress Tallulah Bankhead. Dola spent her final years in a house named Dolaura that occupied land just east of Hatley Park.
